German election in North-Rhine Westphalia
In May 2014 in parallel the elections for the European parliament and the local election in North-Rhine Westphalia took place. Citkomm as a local municipality data centre did the IT support by providing the application for the registration of the election results and their live publishing to the citizens using web servers in the internet. At the first time this result presentation was with IPv6 support. Therefore some servers were established by University of Luxembourg to specifically handle the IPv6 traffic.
During the time of the counts of the election results a camera team attended the operation centre of Citkomm. Their collected some impressions on the work of the election team.
